Here's to you Bryn

I've thought long and hard about this post. Mainly because I've gone to write and stopped because I couldn't see the keyboard or just because there was simply WAY too much to write about. I know most people say that Bryn and Andrew moving isn't that big of a deal, but it is to me. I know she is literally moving right down the street but they are moving out of the ward. And to me, that is a BIG deal regardless of whether they move down the street or across the country. It's different and we know it will be different, but I think we are both willing to make our friendship work. When Ben and I first came to our home here in Ogden we drove home both knowing that this is exactly where the Lord wanted us. Neither of us knew why, but it was right and we knew it. We came to the 6th ward on Father's day to "test" out the ward, because I wasn't going to live somewhere were I wasn't comfortable in the ward. Well all fears were washed away when we came that Sunday. It was the best ward, and we couldn't have been more sure about our choice than we were that day. We knew we are going to spend the next few years of our life here. I've had a really good friend through out the years in fact a best friend, we both have gone our seperate ways and that's ok...marriage, homes, school, careers, and kids are all a part of life and we both understand that. I am still great friends with her and regardless of whether we see each other every month or once every six months, that's ok because we can pick up right where we left off, and nothing changes. I am lucky enough too have some really great "best friends" and that is something that I know I need.

When we first moved to Ogden I spent alot of time with family and Ben which was fine, I love every minute I get to spend with Ben and family members, but I am just one of those girls who have to have friends. I have found a great friend, a best friend, and a shoulder to cry on in Bryn. She is my strength when I can't be, a mentor when I'm struggling, and a great example when I needed one the most. She makes me want to be a better person, and a more loving mom when kids come in the picture. She pushes me to do my best daily whether I feel like it or not. She allows me to be obnoxious and annoying when I feel like acting like a kid again. Thanks for being that person that I can turn too when I need it the most. I love you!
